Terrill W Underwood of Medicine Lodge, Kansas was killed on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 10:24 AM in Barber County, Kansas. Underwood is a 70-year-old man.

Evidence at the scene indicates Vehicle 1 [the 2008 Ford F350 driven by Johnathan Ahlvers] intentionally drove at Vehicle 2 [the 2000 Ford F350 driven by Terrill Underwood]. Vehicle 2 [the 2000 Ford F350 driven by Terrill Underwood] attempted to avoid Vehicle 1 [the 2008 Ford F350 driven by Johnathan Ahlvers] by driving off the highway towards the east ditch. Vehicle 1 [the 2008 Ford F350 driven by Johnathan Ahlvers] was able to strike Vehicle 2 [the 2000 Ford F350 driven by Terrill Underwood] in the area between the east shoulder and ditch.
Injuries
Underwood's injuries were fatal. Underwood was taken by ambulance to Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the 2000 Ford F350 with Kansas license plate number 119AWY damage was unknown. This vehicle was insured. Farm Bureau insured this vehicle. This vehicle was removed by Newberry.
