Damian Conner Killed in a Crash on September 10, 2022 in Sedgwick County, Kansas

Damian Russell Conner of Whitewater, Kansas was killed on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:38 AM in Sedgwick County, Kansas. Conner is a 23-year-old man.

Due to congested and heavy traffic, vehicles were completely stopped at I135 southbound at milepost 13.2. Vehicle 2 [the 2020 Freightliner Semi driven by Simon Rogers] was completely stopped in the right lane. Vehicle 1 [the 2007 Nissan Altima driven by Damian Conner] was traveling southbound at highway speeds. The driver applied the brakes, but due to a wet roadway and rainfall, did not stop in time. Vehicle 1 [the 2007 Nissan Altima driven by Damian Conner] struck the rear of Vehicle 2 [the 2020 Freightliner Semi driven by Simon Rogers]s trailer.

Injuries

Conner's injuries were fatal. Conner was taken by ambulance to Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the 2007 Nissan Altima with Kansas license plate number 986KTK damage was unknown. This vehicle was removed by Arrow Wrecker.

This statute imposes on those subject to it "a civil penalty in an action brought by the attorney general or county or district attorney" of up to "$500 for each violation." Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
