Hawley Winkler Injured in a Crash on August 23, 2021 in Shawnee County, Kansas

Hawley Winkler of Topeka, Kansas was injured on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 05:14 PM in Shawnee County, Kansas. Winkler is a 14-year-old girl.

Vehicle 1 [the 1991 Ford F150 driven by Adam Pendlay] was initially stationary facing west at a stop sign intended for traffic exiting eastbound I-70 onto Wanamaker. Vehicle 2 [the 2002 Hyundai Sonata driven by Grace Winkler] was traveling northbound on Wanamaker. Driver 2 [Grace M Winkler] had the right-of-way. Driver 1 [Adam D Pendlay] failed to yield to Vehicle 2 [the 2002 Hyundai Sonata driven by Grace Winkler] and entered Wanamaker. Vehicle 1 [the 1991 Ford F150 driven by Adam Pendlay] was subsequently struck by Vehicle 2 [the 2002 Hyundai Sonata driven by Grace Winkler]. Vehicle 1 [the 1991 Ford F150 driven by Adam Pendlay] came to rest a short distance south of the intersection on southbound Wanamaker. Vehicle 2 [the 2002 Hyundai Sonata driven by Grace Winkler] came to rest a short distance north of the intersection on northbound Wanamaker.

Injuries

Winkler's injuries were minor. Winkler was taken by ambulance to Unknown.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the 2002 Hyundai Sonata with Kansas license plate number GWINK damage was unknown. This vehicle was insured. Geico insured this vehicle. This vehicle was removed by Darrells. It was taken to Tow Lot.
