Chelsie Randel Killed in a Crash on August 24, 2021 on the Kansas Turnpike

Chelsie Faith Randel of Topeka, Kansas was killed on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 09:34 AM on the Kansas Turnpike. Randel is a 19-year-old woman.

Vehicle 1 [the 2002 JEEP LIBERTY driven by Chelsie Randel] was westbound on i-70. for unknown reason vehicle 1 traveled onto the outside shoulder. while traveling on the outside shoulder, vehicle 1 collided with the outside guardrail. after hitting the guardrail, vehicle 1 veered left from the outside shoulder and traveled across all westbound lanes and collided with the inside barrier wall. after colliding with the barrier wall, vehicle 1 over turned several times ejecting driver 1.

Randel's injuries were fatal. Randel was taken by ambulance to First Call.

The police said the 2002 Jeep Liberty with Kansas license plate number 745MZD damage was unknown. This vehicle was insured. FARMERS insured this vehicle. This vehicle was removed by Protow.
