Seth Downey Injured in a Crash on November 11, 2021 on the Kansas Turnpike

Seth Downey of Kansas City, Kansas was injured on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 05:45 AM on the Kansas Turnpike. Downey is a 19-year-old man.

Driver 1 [Seth Downey] attempted to change lanes to the left to pass Vehicle 2 [the 2014 MAZDA PC driven by Eric Thomas], but struck the rear drivers side corner of Vehicle 2 [the 2014 MAZDA PC driven by Eric Thomas] in the process and lost control of his vehicle. Vehicle 1 [the 2018 FORD FUSION driven by Seth Downey] struck two sections of median barrier, then crossed the lanes of travel and struck the concrete bridge railing over 78th St.

Injuries

Downey's injuries were minor. Downey was taken by ambulance to Refused Transport.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the 2018 Ford Fusion with Kansas license plate number 869LJX damage was not functional. This vehicle was insured. AAA insured this vehicle. This vehicle was removed by Heartland.
