Ripson Wong Injured in a Crash on May 18, 2021 in Grant County, Kansas

Ripson Wong of Henderson, Nevada was injured on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 02:31 PM in Grant County, Kansas. Wong is a 47-year-old man.

The helicopter used for agricultural areial spraying was applying chemical to a field west of K25 approximately 1 mile and south of CO Rd 1. The helicopter was eastbound at the east edge of the field where the chemicals were being applied. The helicopter struck a power line, became unstable and crashed in a wheat field southeast of the first harmful event. The helicopter came to rest on its left side facing east, approximately 434 feet east of the two track field entrance road.

Injuries

Wong's injuries were serious. Wong was taken by ambulance to Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the 1970 Bell Oh58A with Unknown license plate number N176SJ damage was unknown.
