For an unknown reason, Vehicle 1 [the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Aiden Patricio-Fernandez] began braking and entered into a skid. Vehicle 1 [the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Aiden Patricio-Fernandez] left the roadway to the right and went airborne. While airborne, Vehicle 1 [the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Aiden Patricio-Fernandez] struck a tree in the west ditch, causing it to turn. Vehicle 1 [the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Aiden Patricio-Fernandez] subsequently struck a second tree with the drivers side door causing fatal injuries to the driver. The driver of Vehicle 1 [the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Aiden Patricio-Fernandez] was later transported to the Cheyenne County Hospital in Saint Francis. The driver of Vehicle 1 [the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Aiden Patricio-Fernandez] was not properly restrained at the time of the crash.
Injuries
Patricio-Fernandez's injuries were fatal. Patricio-Fernandez was taken by ambulance to Cheyenne County Hospital.
