Juan Marquez Killed in a Crash on January 20, 2021 in Wyandotte County, Kansas

Juan Carlos Marquez of Lawrence, Kansas was killed on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 12:57 AM in Wyandotte County, Kansas. Marquez is a 22-year-old man.

Vehicle 1 [the 2009 Pontiac G8 driven by Juan Marquez] was eastbound on Loring Lane at a high rate of speed while eluding Bonner Springs Police Department. Driver lost control and vehicle 1 went into a spin and struck a speed limit sign. After impact the vehicle continued in a backwards direction and struck a tree.

Marquez's injuries were fatal. Marquez was taken by ambulance to Ku Medical Center.

The police said the 2009 Pontiac G8 with Missouri license plate number 058KWW damage was unknown. This vehicle was removed by Midwest Tow. It was taken to Tow Lot.
