Norma Santoyo Injured in a Crash on April 24, 2020 in Finney County, Kansas

Norma O Santoyo of Garden City, Kansas was involved in a crash on Friday, April 24th 2020 at 10:06 am in Finney County, Kansas. Santoyo is a 40-year-old woman.

In the crash, Santoyo was driving a 2015 Chevy Cruze. The crash happened here: U83 MM 63 or 5 miles south of U50 on U83 The police described the crash like this:

Vehicle 1 traveling northbound on U83 in the northbound lane. Vehicle 2 traveling southbound in the same area, within the southbound lane. Vehicle 1 crosses the center line of the highway, and the driver side of the vehicle is within the southbound lane of travel. Vehicle 1 strikes Vehicle 2, impacting with the front driver's side portion of the vehicle to Vehicle 2's front driver's side. Following the initial impact, Vehicle 1 comes to rest in the northbound ditch, Vehicle 2 leaves the roadway to right and impacts with the southbound ditch. Both vehicles come to rest on their tires.

The police said that Santoyo had fatal injury. Santoyo was taken to St Catherines.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

The Kansas State Highway Patrol Trooper with badge number K512 wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned case number 2020-004965 to this crash. The KSHP charges $5.00 for each copy of the report plus additional fees of $2.00 for each witness statement. But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. In order to get the report through the KSHP website, you must create a Kansas.gov account and give them your credit card. You must agree to be subject to Kansas Statute 45-230: Unlawful Use of Names Derived from Public Records. This statute imposes on those subject to it "a civil penalty in an action brought by the attorney general or county or district attorney" of up to "$500 for each violation."
