Kate Rose Young of Medicine Lodge, Kansas was involved in a crash on Tuesday, April 21st 2020 at 1:25 pm in Barber County, Kansas. Young is a 18-year-old woman.
In the crash, Young was driving a 2013 GMC Acadia. The crash happened here: Tri City Rd 2.4 miles south of Unity Rd or 8.9 miles south of Nashville, Kansas. The police described the crash like this:
Vehicle 1 was southbound on Tri City Rd when it drove off the west shoulder of the roadway. The driver over-corrected and vehicle 1 traveled across the roadway and drove off the east shoulder. The driver over-corrected again and vehicle 1 traveled back across the roadway and into the west ditch where it rolled over, coming to rest upright.
Injuries
The police said that Young had suspected minor injury. Young was taken to Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2013 GMC Acadia with Kansas license plate number 737AQH was not stated. It was insured by Goodville Mutual Casualty Comp. It was removed from the crash scene by New Berry Auto and taken to Tow lot.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
The Kansas State Highway Patrol Trooper with badge number K413 wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned case number 2020-004848 to this crash. The KSHP charges $5.00 for each copy of the report plus additional fees of $2.00 for each witness statement. But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. In order to get the report through the KSHP website, you must create a Kansas.gov account and give them your credit card. You must agree to be subject to Kansas Statute 45-230: Unlawful Use of Names Derived from Public Records. This statute imposes on those subject to it "a civil penalty in an action brought by the attorney general or county or district attorney" of up to "$500 for each violation."
