Julio Martinez of Guymon, Oklahoma was involved in a crash on Wednesday, February 20th 2019 at 5:06 am in Finney County, Kansas. Martinez is a 25-year-old man.
In the crash, Martinez was driving a 2016 GMC Sirrea truck. The crash happened here: U83 53 Southbound The police described the crash like this:
Vehicle 1 was traveling northbound on US 83 at milepost 53. Vehicle 1 was passing V5, V4, and V3 which are all traveling northbound in the northbound lane. As vehicle 1 is over-taking vehicle 3, vehicle 1 collides with vehicle 2, which is traveling southbound in a driver's side to driver's side side-swipe manner. Vehicle 1 continues northbound and re-enters the northbound lane, colliding with vehicle 3 on vehicle 3 driver side front end. Following impact with vehicle 1 & vehicle 2 continues southbound and enters the southbound lane and collides with vehicle 4 on the 4th and 5th axles of the semi-trailer. Vehicle 2 then continues southbound and collides head on with vehicle 5.

The police said that Martinez had no apparent injury. Martinez may have gone to the hospital.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
The Kansas State Highway Patrol Trooper with badge number K512 wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned case number 2019-002960 to this crash. The KSHP charges $5.00 for each copy of the report plus additional fees of $2.00 for each witness statement. But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. In order to get the report through the KSHP website, you must create a Kansas.gov account and give them your credit card. You must agree to be subject to Kansas Statute 45-230: Unlawful Use of Names Derived from Public Records. This statute imposes on those subject to it "a civil penalty in an action brought by the attorney general or county or district attorney" of up to "$500 for each violation."
