Mary Compton of Fredonia, Kansas was involved in a crash on Tuesday, March 12th 2019 at 8:25 am in Montgomery County, Kansas. Compton is a 85-year-old woman.
In the crash, Compton was riding in a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The crash happened here: U75 4.9 (Just north of U75 and U166 junction) The police described the crash like this:
Vehicle 1 was northbound on U75. Vehicle 2 was southbound on U75. Vehicle 1 crossed the center line. Vehicle 2 made avoidance maneuver onto the left shoulder. Vehicle 1 struck vehicle 2 head on. Both vehicles came to rest on the west side of the highway. Vehicle 2 was facing west and vehicle 1 was facing south west.

The police said that Compton had fatal injury. Compton was taken to Pott's Funeral Home.

The Kansas State Highway Patrol Trooper with badge number K225 wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned case number 2019-004000 to this crash. The KSHP charges $5.00 for each copy of the report plus additional fees of $2.00 for each witness statement. But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. In order to get the report through the KSHP website, you must create a Kansas.gov account and give them your credit card. You must agree to be subject to Kansas Statute 45-230: Unlawful Use of Names Derived from Public Records. This statute imposes on those subject to it "a civil penalty in an action brought by the attorney general or county or district attorney" of up to "$500 for each violation."
