Casey Laverne Springer of Ottawa, Kansas was involved in a crash on Thursday, March 28th 2019 at 3:20 pm in Franklin County, Kansas. Springer is a 41-year-old man.
In the crash, Springer was driving a 2005 Dodge Dakota. The crash happened here: I35 milepost 198.9 Southbound or two miles Southeast of Wellsville The police described the crash like this:
Vehicle one was Southbound on I35 at approximately milepost 198.9. Vehicle one was in the right lane, traveling at highway speeds. Vehicle 2 was in the left lane, traveling at highway speeds, slightly behind vehicle one. Vehicle one hydroplaned in the right lane, coming out of control and striking the guardrail on the right shoulder of I35 under the Stafford Road bridge. Vehicle one bounced off the guardrail coming back into the lane of travel. Vehicle two struck vehicle one as vehicle one crossed lanes of travel. Vehicle one continued into the median striking the second guardrail under the Stafford Road bridge. Vehicle one came to rest under the guardrail. Vehicle two came to rest just South of vehicle one in the median.
Injuries
The police said that Springer had no apparent injury. Springer may have gone to the hospital.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
The Kansas State Highway Patrol Trooper with badge number K505 wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned case number 2019-004863 to this crash. The KSHP charges $5.00 for each copy of the report plus additional fees of $2.00 for each witness statement. But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. In order to get the report through the KSHP website, you must create a Kansas.gov account and give them your credit card. You must agree to be subject to Kansas Statute 45-230: Unlawful Use of Names Derived from Public Records. This statute imposes on those subject to it "a civil penalty in an action brought by the attorney general or county or district attorney" of up to "$500 for each violation."
