Melynda Elisibeth Graves of Satanta, Kansas was involved in a crash on Tuesday, November 24th 2020 at 2:19 pm in Haskell County, Kansas. Graves is a 47-year-old woman.
In the crash, Graves was driving a 2013 Ford Escape. The crash happened here: U.S. Highway 56 mile post 80 eastbound or 11.2 miles east of U.S. Highway 83 on U.S. Highway 56 The police described the crash like this:
Vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 56. Due to oncoming traffic, Driver 1 slowed down and attempted to enter the south ditch. Vehicle 1 hit ice and became unstable. Vehicle 1 crossed both lanes and entered the north ditch, where Vehicle 1 overturned. Vehicle 1 came to rest facing north west.
Injuries
The police said that Graves had suspected minor injury. Graves was taken to Satanta District Hospital.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2013 Ford Escape with Kansas license plate number 761KFV was not stated. It was insured by State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance. It was removed from the crash scene by Davis Auto.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
The Kansas State Highway Patrol Trooper with badge number K120 wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned case number to this crash. The KSHP charges $5.00 for each copy of the report plus additional fees of $2.00 for each witness statement. But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. In order to get the report through the KSHP website, you must create a Kansas.gov account and give them your credit card. You must agree to be subject to Kansas Statute 45-230: Unlawful Use of Names Derived from Public Records. This statute imposes on those subject to it "a civil penalty in an action brought by the attorney general or county or district attorney" of up to "$500 for each violation."
