Wade McCoy of Lavant, Kansas was involved in a crash on Tuesday, February 11th 2020 at 5:52 pm in Trego County, Kansas. McCoy is a 37-year-old man.

Vehicle 2 was northbound on HWY 283 near CO Rd B. Vehicle 1 was eastbound on CO Rd B near Hwy 283. Vehicle 1 failed to stop at the stop sign at Hwy 283 and collided with Vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 yawed towards the NE before over turning. Vehicle 1 attempted an avoidance maneuver away from Vehicle 2. Vehicle 1's trailer began to over turn and disconnected from the power unit. The trailer overturned to the passenger side. The power unit steered left, crossed the center line, went across the southbound lanes and into the west ditch. Vehicle 2 over turned and landed upright in the east ditch facing North.
Injuries
The police said that McCoy had no apparent injury. McCoy may have gone to the hospital.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
The Kansas State Highway Patrol Trooper with badge number K204 wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned case number 2020-002227 to this crash. The KSHP charges $5.00 for each copy of the report plus additional fees of $2.00 for each witness statement. But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. In order to get the report through the KSHP website, you must create a Kansas.gov account and give them your credit card. You must agree to be subject to Kansas Statute 45-230: Unlawful Use of Names Derived from Public Records. This statute imposes on those subject to it "a civil penalty in an action brought by the attorney general or county or district attorney" of up to "$500 for each violation."
