Brandon Salas of Satanta, Kansas was involved in a crash on Tuesday, June 19th 2018 at 3:01 pm in Stevens County, Kansas. Salas is a 17-year-old boy.
In the crash, Salas was driving a 2014 Buick Enclave. The crash happened here: K25 highway at milemarker 28.8, or 8 miles north of US56 highway and K25 highway. The police described the crash like this:
Vehicle 1 was eastbound on County Road Y. Vehicle 2 was southbound on K25 highway. For unknown reason vehicle 1 failed to yield to vehicle 2 at the stop sign and vehicle 2 struck vehicle 1. Both vehicles came to rest in the southeast ditch in a field.

The crash killed Salas. Salas was taken to Paul's Robson Funeral Home.

The Kansas State Highway Patrol Trooper with badge number K453 wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned case number 2018-008384 to this crash. The KSHP charges $5.00 for each copy of the report plus additional fees of $2.00 for each witness statement. But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. In order to get the report through the KSHP website, you must create a Kansas.gov account and give them your credit card. You must agree to be subject to Kansas Statute 45-230: Unlawful Use of Names Derived from Public Records. This statute imposes on those subject to it "a civil penalty in an action brought by the attorney general or county or district attorney" of up to "$500 for each violation."
