Lee Depperschmidt Injured in a Crash on August 16, 2019 in Barton County, Kansas

Lee Depperschmidt of Rush Center, Kansas was involved in a crash on Friday, August 16th 2019 at 5:21 pm in Barton County, Kansas. Depperschmidt is a 84-year-old man.

Vehicle 2 was stopped on U281 facing East waiting to make a left turn into private driveway. Vehicle 1 was East bound following vehicle 2. Driver was distracted by cellphone and rear-ended vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 spun out and landed in front yard on 158 West State Highway 4. Vehicle 1 also entered the north ditch and came to rest in a wheat field.

The police said that Depperschmidt had suspected serious injury. Depperschmidt was taken to St Francis.
