Richard L. Hixon, 27, of Ensign, Kansas was Killed in a Crash on March 29, 2017 in Gray County, Kansas

Richard L. Hixon, a 27-year old male, of Ensign, Kansas was involved in a crash on March 29, 2017 in Gray County, Kansas. The crash happened at 11:44 AM  on U.S. Highway 56 at mile marker 103.1 or 3 Miles West of Ensign.. The crash happened like this: Vehicle 1 was traveling Westbound on U.S. Highway 56 and attempted to pass a Semi pulling a trailer. Vehicle 1 struck the Eastbound Vehicle 2 in the Eastbound lane. Vehicle 1 came to rest facing West Northwest on the North shoulder on all 4 wheels. Vehicle 2 came to rest West Southwest on the South shoulder on all 4 wheels.

Injuries

Hixon was killed in the crash. His body was taken to Western Plains.

Vehicle Damage

Hixon's 1995 Passenger Car with Kansas license plate was wrecked. Hixon's was removed from the wreck scene by Southwest Towing and taken to their .

Trooper K165 of the Kansas State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The KSHP assigned report number 2017-003969 to this wreck. You must agree to be subject to Kansas Statute 45-230: Unlawful Use Of Names Derived From Public Records.
