Martin P Burke, 81, of Kinsley, Kansas was Killed in a Crash on August 2, 2016 in Ford County, Kansas

Martin P Burke, a 81-year old male, of Kinsley, Kansas was involved in a crash on August 2, 2016 in Ford County, Kansas. The crash happened at 8:59 AM  on U50 & Clark Street or Highway 50 East of Spearville Entrance. The crash happened like this: Vehicle 1 was westbound on U50 attempting a left turn onto Clark St. Vehicle 2 was eastbound on U50 passing a commercial motor vehicle on the right that was waiting to make a left turn onto 126 Rd. Vehicle 2 struck Vehicle 1 on the eastbound shoulder of U50. Vehicle 2 came to rest in the eastbound ditch facing east on all eighteen wheels. Vehicle 1 came to rest in the parking lot of Spearville Truck Stop facing northeast on all four wheels.

 

Injuries

 

Burke was killed in the crash. His body was taken to Western Plains Regional Hospital.His body was taken to the Hospital.

 

Vehicle Damage

 

Burke's 1992 Buick Le Sabre with Kansas license plate AA033 was wrecked. Burke's Buick was removed from the wreck scene by Southwest Towing.
